Blockchain-based coordination of satellite bandwidth allocation can reduce retransmission overhead that currently consumes 30 percent of available Ku-band capacity during peak winter demand.
Implementation requires explicit integration with the existing Mackenzie Valley Fibre Link and planned satellite constellations authorized under the federal Universal Broadband Fund.
